a MANLY card

TGIF everyone!

Hope you all had a great week and I wish you an awesome weekend ahead!!

Today I wanted to complete 2 challenges and also aim for a MANLY card, this is what I came up with:

I think this would be a great card for man, be it your brother, father even your grandfather! The paper is really gorgeous, as you can see there's a shine to it.

I'm entering this challenge in the Love to Create challenge #8, a manly card with optional shetch (I did not use it here). What I did use is the Freshly Made Sketch #$28 instead.

Well this is my last post for the month of March! (unless I have time to make another one tonight ;) )

Florals

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to share with you a picture of my kids. I took this yesterday for Mateo's 4th b-day , and the big boy next to him is Emanuel, my 8 year old. Oh I can't believe how big they've gotten..sometimes I wish time stood still...I did say sometimes..LOL!!

OK on to my cards...I saw these amazing cards on line so I made my versions of them. First the Zebra/Floral card...I made 2 of them that are pretty much identical.

And then this Spring/Floral card. This card was a "Welcome baby" card  but I thought I would be great for birthday's instead.  I made 2 and just switched up the color sheme a little.

It was so much fun making these cards. What I also notice is that I'm getting quicker in making them which is great, I still have time to go watch little TV :)

Wedding

Hello Everyone,

A very weird day in Montreal. First we woke up to a little bit of snow then freezing rain and now it's raining...I want the sun back!!

I had time this afternoon to make 2 of the following card. It was a request from my cousin who has a wedding in May.

Tween b-days

Hello everyone!!

Still was a very cold day in Montreal today. This morning was chilly but thank goodness it warmed up in the afternoon and the sun was shining!!

Today's theme is Tween Birthday's, the reason being my neighbor, Mackenzie, asked me ever so sweetly, to make her a card for her friends birthday this upcoming weekend so I told her "of course"! I made her 4 to choose from, here they are:

As you can see these are both Mimi's from Penny Black! And what's also obvious is the cupcake theme which was requested along with the color orange!!

Here is Betsy Bluebell from Penny black, and a simpler card without any stamps, just as cute I think!!

Bear Birthday

Hello, Ok Ok so I'm sneaking one in ..LOL!!

I really wanted to enter the Love to Create challenge, the theme is masculine. It's a small 4x51/2 card and I did it pretty fast with paper and ribbon I had lying around, here it is:

I used my Martha Stewart border punch for the first time, that I bought it in January of this year, just goes to show how much stuff I have!! I used red and blue because it's my sons favorite colors and he , MATEO, is turning 4 on Wednesday, my oh my how time flies!!

Happy Mother's Day

Here are the other 2 cards I made tonight, also for Mother's Day. I used a sketch from Craft's Meow their monthly challenge. And here they are:

I love the color purple and I think it really suits this particular flower. The only difference between the 2 cards is the size of the flower, the brads and the way sentiment is placed. Ialso used the Craft's Meow Digi freebie on this card.

Hello again,

My guide tonight was a sketch from Love to Create however I can't enter the challenge becuase the theme is a masculine card, oh well next time. I decided to focus on "MOM" because..well mother's day is approaching and it's one of the biggest holiday's were people hand out cards, so I made 2 of them. Here they are:

More b-day

Hello again...yes I know I've been a  busy bee today.. :)

These are 2 more cards I did yesterday. When I make a card I try to cut 2 sets of papers so that I can make 2 cards. you have seen the wine one but I added a different sentiment . The pig you've never seen before but the paper I used for my old curling man also in a previous post. Just goes to show you how much variety there is in making cards, it's really ANYTHING GOES!!

Oh one more thing, the pig was a FREEBIE Friday digi image from Bugaboo stamps, thanks again to my Bestee, Vicky you tells me where to go!! Love her so much!!

Here is a card I worked on last night, I followed a color scheme from Catch the Bug color challenge.

I've been meaning to use my new stamps from Hero Arts, these are 2 of them, the owls and the branch. I just love owls, there something about them that's so interesting!!

Digi's from Craft's Meow

Hello everyone,

Well all I can say is Brrrrr!! I think mother nature is confused..LOL!! It's cold in Montreal today and pretty much the same the rest of the week, I guess we were spoiled the last 2 weeks, back to reality!!

You are so...sweet!

Hi everyone!!

Let me first tell you what an amazing night I had last night!!  We had a delicious dinner at TASCA, a Portuguese restaurant, and then went to the SUGAR SAMMY show at The Olympia!! what a night, the show was outstanding, worth every penny!!

Woke up to the sound of rain, what can I say except..YAY!! For me it means crafting even more and not feeling bad about it!! The kids will be doing boys stuff with their dad, like watching wrestling and playing video games..YAY FOR ME!!!

Freinds to the Finish!

Good morning all!

It's a little chilly outside and all I feel like doing is CRAFTING!!  Yay for me! Of course not before doing a little house cleaning, having breakfast with the family... and then I rushed downstairs, oh yes..started a load of laundry, and then made a card..LOL!! Here is Carole:

This is another great stamp from Kraftin Kimmie's. I also used great paper I found at WINNERS again and ribbon from American Crafts that I purchased from Omer Deserres.  I also used a shetch from Catch the Bug  but I couldn't enter it because it's a past challenge but I loved the layout and made it anyway!

My inspiration for this card was ALL the ladies in my life, family and friends!! Melissa, Laura, Vicky, Allison, just to name a few, and so many more who have been there for me and inspired me to be who I am and to to follow my dreams!! THANKS LADIES!!!

Boy with car keys!!

Hello everyone!!

Today I was looking into more challenges to enter (thanks to my bestee who enters a bunch) and I came across the Going Buggy challenge of  "use something not intended for card making", well I came up with my kitchen sponge, the green abrasive side, here it is:

Not sure if you could tell, I used it to make the traffic light. I also used my brand new edgeabilities from Spellbinders that I bought today on my little road trip (with my hubby to Alfred, ON)  to Scrap En Masse, very fitting right!! As I said I'm entering this card in the  Going Buggy Challenge. This was also a card requested by my neighbor for her nephew!

Had another great day today! Worked, shopped, had lunch with an amazing girlfiend and had time to make a card!! Yes also spent time with the hubby and kids..of course!!

Hello everyone!!

Another great day in Montreal..summer weather? really.. what happened to SPRING :) I love spring!!

Well after a great supper at my in-laws, homework and bath-time I had just enough time to squeeze in one small card!! Oh first I want to tell you that my cards from yesterday were a huge success!! Not only did my neighbor buy both she bought 2 more from my collection, THANKS JEN!!

Curling ROCKS!!

Hello Everyone,

Well I had the time to make the other b-day request. This one, as you can see, is pretty specific, he loves curling and brandy, I chose Curling!!

I just love this image, I got it on-line and printed it on watercolor paper so that it would be easier to color. I think it turned out great!! I also got the template on-line but added my own touch to it with the dots and ribbon! Hope my neighbors dad likes it!

Another great day in Montreal!!

I had a special request from my neighbor. She wants a b-day card of her dad. Her husband over heard (also my boss) and he requested one for his dad too...so I asked them a few questions, to get an idea of what kind of card to make, this is the result for one of them:

You're special!

Happy Monday everyone!!

Busy day at work today , then off to do groceries in the afternoon and ..wait for it..yes I did..pulled out the t-shirts from storage and put away the long sleeve shirts for my kids..LOL!! I figure even though it still might get a little cooler they can always put a heavier jacket. It's been so warm these past few days and we really are enjoying it!! There's something about opening all the windows for the first time...the fresh air smells amazing!

First I want to show you a card that I started yesterday. I used the same paper and template as the Cows#001 but with a different stamp, here it is:

This is another Hedge Hog from Penny black, it's one of the first stamps I purchased a little over a year ago! I can't believe how much my stamp collection has grown since then!!

And here is the "pièce de résistance", the card of the night..isn't he adorable!! I just got him from Whipper Snapper (along with the little girl with the bunny I showed you yesterday). I used another 6x6 paper pad purchased a winners so it was easy to match papers together, LOVE IT!!. Then just added my touch with the ribbon and string!

Ok ok, this is my last post of the day!!  :)

I fell in love with this stamp, it just made me happy when I saw it. And Penny Black had a great card to display it so that didn't hurt..LOL! I realized I haven't used it yet (oh oh that's a sign that I have too much stuff.. LOL!) so here is, my first card with the lovely cow ladies:

I also just got this paper, it's from My Mind's Eye, the Sophie collection. It's a 180 page pad of paper for a steal at WINNERS!! YAY!! I used silver brads for the 3rd cows earrings..I was hoping to have some miniature loops, oh well, I think it still looks great!

Kraftin Kimmie challenge #120

Hello again,

What a great day we had, we were outside with the kids, they rode their bikes, played hockey..oh yes and we removed the x-mas lights while the kids were playing hide n' seek..LOL!!

I just finished my other 2 cards that I began yesterday, just had to color my images. The inspiration is my brand new little cousin GIADA! I used the Kraftin'Kimmie template from challenge #120,  here they are!!

Happy b-day girls!!

Happy Sunday everyone!!

And what a fantastic day it is, sunny and mild..what else can we ask for right!!

Cooked up a storm this morning, typical for us Italians..LOL!! and had time to finish 2 cards that I started yesterday, here they are:

This is a Mimi stamp from Penny Black, I also made my bow with the BOW EASY, what a fantastic tool, a must have for bow making!!! This card was requested by my sisiter-in-law, LAURA (the best sister-in-law EVER!!), who knows a little girl who will be turning 2, I think this is perfect!!

This is another card requested by Laura but this time for a one year old girl, also fitting don't you think! The stamp is from Whipper Snapper, I just love the oversized PJ and the bunny she's holding.

A couple of oldies!!

Hello everyone,

Boy have I missed crafting!! I spent time making some cards today but they are not complete yet so I wanted to share a couple of oldies with you once again!! I've notices how much I've improved since then this makes me very happy!

I made this one for someone very special in my life, she understands me like no one else does!! The stamp is MIMI from Penny Black, love love love their stamps.

And this one was for my hubby, the love of my life, my soul mate, for his birthday last year! He does rock and I am so blessed to have him in my life!! It will be 10 years we're married this September..YAY!!

This stamp is also from Penny Black, they have a whole series on Hedge hogs and Mimi plus a lot more!!

Can't wait to show you my new cards tomorrow!

A card from the past...

Hi everyone,

I've been gone the past few days for a very special reason, there has been  a new addition to our FAMILY! My cousin Melissa and her husband Frankie had their first baby, a baby girl named GIADA! Welcome sweet angel, Zia loves you so much!!

So since I have not been crafting I wanted to show you a card I made for my BESTEE last Dec 2011.

And here it is, this is Sophie from Kraftin'Kimmies, sexy isn't she..LOL!!

This card has lots of layering, the final result is worth all the paper and measuring. I had fun making it and was happy to see my Bestee's face when she saw it!

Mother's Day Part 2 & 3

It's me again, Crafty Cinzia!!
I never really thought I'd say that but I do feel it now that I'm blogging and showing you my creations!!

I finally finished 4 more cards, the second set is also 6x6 like the previous ones. It's more springy and can also be used for other occasions.

Here it is: #MD-004

I didn't post the second one because it's pretty much the same except I used a different circle around the tree. The paper for this one comes from the same collection. This is a template I got on-line but of course I changed it up a little.

The 3rd set can also be used for other occasions, they are 5x7. I chose the paper from another collection, it really makes my job easier, then I just have to create the look around it.

The flowers are done with the same die cut except in the first one I shaded it with ink and used a technique to make it pop, where as for the bottom one I left them plain because the paper already had some red swirls and I added buttons and brads for the extra WOW factor.

I also want to mention that I leave the cards blank inside so that you could personalize them yourselves. I will eventually post the sentiments I have so if requested it can always be added once purchased.

Mother's Day Part 1

Happy Monday everyone!

It's a beautiful day and it feels great to be alive!! I feel amazing especially after making 2 cards!!

I have a friend who requested a mother-s day card so I will make several for her to choose from. I thought why not make 2 at the same time, kind of identical, but then just twist it up..so here is the result of the first set:

I will begin to number my cards, making it easier for people to request a specific one they like. This one is MD-002,

and this one is MD-003. All the paper comes from the same paper collection except for the shiny red paper behind the sentiment. If you look closely you can also see the added dots to the backgroud paper. Oh yes and I made the flowers with a die cut AND I made the ribbon myself..I know it even surprised me..LOL!!

What an end to spring break! We took a long walk today and it was gorgeous!! I hope that's GOOD-BYE for Mr.Winter and HELLO to Mrs.Spring!!! :)

I'm glad I had the time do a couple of cards later this afternoon and I am so happy with the results. They can be for Birthdays or for other occasions as well, here they are:

I make these cards because I love to do it but now I have requests which is very exciting for me..YAY!! It's an amazing feeling to know that other people will enjoy them as well.

time for more babies...

WOW what a fun packed day I had!!  I did have time to do a few more baby cards...here they are:

I already made a baby girl card with this same baby, only surprise..now it's a boy!! This is a simpler card, just layers of card stock and added turquoise dots and a cute button. I made six of these using different buttons, fun and easy! The buttons are from Omer Deserres.

This one is similar to my previous post except this time I used the work GIRL, I also made some for boys. I'm really looking forward to making more cards using the all-in-one embossing from cuttlebug. I bought a set for birthday's, I'm hoping top use it tomorrow..LOL!!
